Aalfs, Evans & Co., LLP is not your grandfather’s accounting firm. Our founders, Dan Aalfs and Gary Evans, both came from backgrounds as senior IRS agents. Dan purchased a local firm, Humboldt Bookkeeping, and converted it to a certified public accountancy office in 1975. Gary joined him shortly thereafter. Almost 38 years later we are five partners strong, with a team of 18 professionals and support staff. We believe that staying current on the multitude of fronts demanded by today’s rapidly changing business, tax, and accounting landscapes is best achieved in a group practice with a team approach.
We take the time to listen to our clients before working with them to shape an action plan since every person and situation is unique. The foundation of this successful client-centered model is our very motivated and experienced team of professionals. Our team members are selected and mentored to bring both sophisticated technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to the table in our relationships.
