. Prior to joining Aalfs, Evans & Co. as a staff accountant in August, 1982, he had a career as a health care professional and administrator. Michael joined Dan Aalfs and Gary Evans as a partner in January, 1986. Michael has also rekindled his long-dormant singing career, performing at various local venues. However, he plans to keep his day job. He lives in Bayside with his wife, Sharon. Their oldest daughter, Jennifer, is married and living in

Oregon
. Their younger daughter, Kelly, is currently attending college in Oregon.
In February, 1983, Scott H. Guild, CPA joined the team as a part-time staff accountant while finishing his accounting coursework at
Humboldt
State
University
. He had previously received a B.S. degree in Animal Science from U.C. Davis in 1979. In June, 1984, Scott went to work for the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent. He returned to Aalfs, Evans & Co. in December, 1985, and continued as a staff accountant until January, 1988, when he became a partner. Scott also serves as a part-time lecturer in the School of Business at
Humboldt
State
University
teaching various accounting and income tax courses. In his spare time, Scott enjoys coaching high school girls basketball and riding his Harley Davidson. Scott's son, Rogan, is a senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and his daughter, Katelyn, will be attending Menlo College in the fall having graduated with honors from Shasta College in Redding.

Jon became a partner in 1998 and lives with his wife, Patty, and sons Byron and Kenneth in Jacoby Creek.

. Patti moved from
San Diego

Humboldt

in January 1997 when she joined Aalfs, Evans & Co. Patti became a partner in January, 2003, and lives in
Ferndale
with Bruce and their cat, Truffle. Patti enjoys getting outside for gardening, a good hike and mountain biking when the opportunities arise.

in 1994 with a B.A. degree in German. In 1999, Jay returned to H.S.U. to study business and accounting, and joined Aalfs, Evans & Co. in January 2000 as a part-time staff accountant. He continued to work as a staff accountant until January, 2005, when Aalfs, Evans & Co. welcomed Jay as a new partner. Currently, Jay lives in Arcata with his wife Nichole and their daughter Evangelina. Jay and his family enjoy traveling, camping and spending time at
Trinity
Lake.
Jay also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing the local rivers, lakes and the ocean as well as hunting throughout Northern
California
